Amputees are glad to get a prosthetic hand that can perform regular tasks. But it’s not the same as having feeling in your hand. Now scientists at Case Western Reserve University are developing a bionic arm that can actually feel. Electrodes are wired to a patient’s nerves, allowing the patient to feel sensations when the prosthetic touches other objects.
