Congratulations to FES Investigators Anne Bryden PhD, OTR/L and Eric Schearer PhD, whose team recently won funding from the Atlas Program, i.e. Advanced Translational and Academic Leadership Program at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
The ATLAS Program is administered by the university’s Clinical and Translational Science Collective (CTSC). The team’s idea was to develop and implement an augmented retrieval AI tool for the Northstar SCI website, https://northstarsci.org.
Also part of the team: Abhinav Acharya PhD, Kiran Faryar MD, E. Eugenie Hartmann PhD, and Sonia Minnes PhD. The team’s CTSC mentor is David Sheyn MD.
The AI Tool that the team envisions will be designed to help people with spinal cord injury get access to or find more resources easily. The project is slated to begin in January 2027.
