PUBLICATIONS

Dr. Stephen Lewis manages a multidisciplinary research program and has generated deep expertise in autonomic neurophysiology and neuropharmacology using freely-moving animal models.

His laboratory employs a wide array of techniques including in vivo nerve recording and stimulation, whole-body plethysmography, in situ brainstem electrophysiology, single-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology, and molecular/proteomic approaches.

Dr. Lewis has contributed to over 200 peer-reviewed publications and holds 7 patents related to autonomic nervous system modulation. He serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacology Research and on the editorial boards of Medicines, Pharmaceuticals, Frontiers in Pharmacology, and Frontiers in Neuroscience.
