The poster&nbsp;was&nbsp;selected to receive a&nbsp;Travel&nbsp;Grant&nbsp;Award from theSociety&nbsp;and&nbsp;chosen for a&nbsp;Guided&nbsp;Poster&nbsp;Tour. These tours are led by&nbsp;MDS Faculty to highlight the&nbsp;best&nbsp;posters that contribute&nbsp;to the mission and goalsof the Society.<\/p>\n<p>As an investigator at the FES Center, Dr. Shaikh studies how Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) can be used to treat&nbsp;movement disorders. Dr. Beylergil&#8217;s current research focuses on using DBS to modulate perception&nbsp;to&nbsp;restore&nbsp;motor functions in these disorders.&nbsp;Both are also&nbsp;interested in using quantitative data and machine learning to assist with the diagnosis and treatment decisions for patients with movement disorders.
