class=\"hero-layout\">\n<div class=\"hero-text\">\n<p class=\"trial-intro-lead\">This study aims to evaluate the KeyGrip investigational device for restoration of hand function for people with spinal cord injury.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, are conducting a study of a small, implanted device called \u201cKeyGrip\u201d to activate paralyzed muscles to provide hand grasp in patients with spinal cord injury.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the study, participants must be older than 18 years of age, have a spinal cord injury that occurred at least 6 months ago, have an injury level between C1-C8, and have no other neurological defects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"hero-image\" aria-label=\"Primary image\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; class=\"trial-body\">\n<h3 class=\"trial-section-heading trial-body-subhead\">What is Involved?<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"trial-involved-list\">\n<li>Evaluation of the prospective participant\u2019s arm and hand muscle excitability to confirm eligibility<\/li>\n<li>Testing of the prospective participant\u2019s hand function at baseline and post treatment<\/li>\n<li>A 60-minute procedure to implant the KeyGrip device in the participant\u2019s forearm<\/li>\n<li>Exercise to develop hand grasp strength<\/li>\n<li>Training in use of the KeyGrip system for functional activities that the participant identifies<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up visits at 3-, 6-, and 12 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Transportation may be covered.<\/p>\n<p>Detailed study information is available at <a
