Strategic Collaborations
The FES Center believes strongly in collaborative research and works closely with groups across the country on projects centered around neuromodulation, neural rehabilitation, brain-computer interfaces, and deep brain stimulation. We strive to stay at the front of new fields and frequently partner where collective expertise dovetails.
Our investigators regularly compete successfully for major funding initiatives from federal sources like the NIH and DARPA. The most successful projects are those sourcing experts from worldwide institutions; we actively seek and are responsive to outside collaborations.
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS & PARTNERSHIPS
Much of the Center’s mission is to bring technologies to those who need them. This is accomplished through partnerships with existing industry or the formation of new companies. By engaging early, the Center de-risks the technology transfer process by designing solutions to regulatory, documentation, and reimbursement hurdles from the start.
We leverage years of device expertise to de-risk early-stage research for companies. These explorations combine industrial development, academic research, and federal funding to answer specific questions relevant to both investigators and industrial partners.
“Please feel free to contact me if you’re interested in working with the FES Center in any way. We’re flexible, collaborative, fast moving, and easy to engage!”
