Colasante, Cesar, MD

Dr. Colasante is a professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SUNY Upstate and part of the Syracuse VA Medical Center SCI/D Department. He completed his residency and fellowship at SUNY Upstate Medical Center.

Dr. Colasante’s research goals are to improve independence and quality of life for patients with SCI. Current projects include:

• Electrical stimulation for patients with Spinal Cord Injury
• 3D printing for assistive devices
• Robotic devices to aid with activities of daily living

Dr. Colasante’s achievements include:

• 2025 Innovator and Influencer Honoree for the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
