My research interests are in the areas of neuromodulation, in particular the application of cerebellar-based approaches for the study and treatment of acquired brain injuries and movement disorders.
I am currently involved in studies characterizing both the neurophysiology and therapeutic potential of cerebellar pathways in relation to stroke, essential tremor, and Parkinson’s disease. My work involves experimental and clinical trial research in humans as well as preclinical work using non-human animal models of disease. Most of my projects involve close collaboration with other neuroscientists as well as neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, and biomedical engineers.
